Big Traks Around the World

I love Big Traks...that has been pretty well established. What you might not know is that there are a lot of people that love Big Traks. For example, you are hear. While that is not neccesarily a declaration of love, it is at least a sign that you might have a small crush.

I have been very surprised by the response I have gotten to this website. I expected a few people to come by and say something like, "Yeah man, I remember Big Truck. I had one and it was pretty cool until I accidentally programmed it to go down the stairs." Instead, I am getting e-mails daily from people looking for advice, parts, entire Big Traks or who just want to share their memories of this toy. Most people tell me where they are from which I greatly appreciate because it has made this part of the site possible. This map has markers in each of the cities with someone that has contacted me about their Big Trak. So, if you need anything or just have a Big Trak memory, please drop me a line and tell me where you are so that I can add your location to the map.

I'm still working on my Google map skills, so this is a work in progress.

The Dangers of Cloning

Allow me to introduce you to IM-11 Lunokhod, a Big Trak clone that was created in Russia under the brand name Elektronika. I think we can all agree that this is an example of science gone wrong. The FDA has recently announced that cloned animals are safe for consumption (this is a strange world we are living in...yuk), but I assure you that this Big Trak clone is not safe to eat.

As hideous as this is, I really want one! If anyone has one of these and would like to sell it please let me know. There is actually one for sale on eBay right now (that's where the pictures came from), but the seller is asking for $400 USD. I really want one, but not that badly.
