Do It Yourself Section

I'm still working on the content for this section, but I will give you some quick advice to get you going. Be careful.

In my experience, these are pretty tough toys but 25+ years in the attic hasn't done them any favors. The 2 rear axles on the BigTrak and all 4 axles on the Transport can easily break while trying to get the long wheel guards off. Got a few ruined ones to prove it. Try to pull the guards straight off of the axles without forcing the axles to bend. I'll try to post some pictures and instructions soon.

Legacy Big Trak Sites

Here are a couple of old Big Trak sites that are no longer being hosted anywhere. There's some excellent information in here so I decided that I would make them available. Some of these sites will still show up in Google searches even though their not available anymore. If you've ever looked for these pages then you're in luck...here they are!

  • Robot Projects - This is probably the most concise set of disassembly instructions you are going to find. Pictures and written explanations all on one page! What more could you want?
  • LavaLamp - This site was created by Andy Dowd and contains instructions for disassembling a Big Trak
